Ibiza Club Convention 1998

Ibiza Club Rotation 1998 @ Space Ibiza

In 1997 Ibiza Records' founder Jan Ben (a.k.a. Jan IBZ) invented the groundbreaking "Ibiza DJ & Club Convention" held at the then famous, now defunct Club Punta Arabi. This unique event brought together DJs, producers, record labels and music industry professionals from all around the globe. The convention's success led to its evolution in subsequent years into the the renamed IBIZA CLUB CONVENTION. The Convention gained strong momentum and became a yearly meeting point for the club music industry. Parties were organized at iconic Ibiza clubs such as Pacha and Space, with renowned DJs headlining the events. The convention's growing influence resulted in the release of its own compilation CD series in partnership with German and European labels.

Co-hosted by Pacha, Space, and Café del Mar, the convention nights became unforgettable spectacles. Headliners such as ATB, Sash!, DJ Quicksilver, Ayla, Bossi (Cosmic Gate), Three Drives on a Vinyl, Ferry Corsten, Da Hool, Tomcraft, Tom Novy, Nalin & Kane, Phil Fuldner, Technotronic, JKB, Guru Josh, Claudio Coccolutto, David Moreno, José de Divino and Pacha-resident DJ Pippi enthralled audiences, and German music TV station VIVA broadcasted from the event. The convention collaborated with the externally organised "DJ Awards" hosted at Pacha Ibiza, further cementing its significance in the industry, as well as with print media for electronic music culture such as Partysan Ibiza, Raveline, Frontpage and Deejay Dance Magazine.
